On 16 March 2009, GJPI hosted the Legal Advisors to the Presidency Council and the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs team from the US Embassy. Judge Ameer Al-Shamary, Director General of the Presidency Council Legal Directorate, Dr. Munif Al-Shamary, Legal Advisor to VP Tariq Hashimi, Judge Mrs. Nawal, Legal Assistant to Judge Ameer, Ms. Meelad Baythoon, Assistant to Judge Ameer and Judge Fathi Al Jawari, editor in chief of the Legislation and Judicial Magazine were in attendance.
